Environmental Technology event comes to Birmingham

The event Environmental Technology, part of Sustainabilitylive!, will be held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham on April 20, 2010.

The showcase will be attended by Government ministers, environmental experts and the public who will be sharing ideas and solutions to environmental issues.

This year’s event will include a new Green Transport and Seminar area which will focus on reducing carbon emissions by showcasing successful companies that have been using initiatives to tackle environmental problems.

It will feature a presentation by the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership, which is an independent advisory body that was formed in 2003 to promote green initiatives for businesses.

It is made up of 350 organisations from the automotive, fuel, environment, government, and road user groups. They advise the Government on policies concerning reducing carbon emissions, share information and ideas on green initiatives and promote the reduction of low carbon vehicles.

“The awards will uncover new and innovative technologies, excellence in management and outstanding performance within the environment and energy sectors.

Based on the standard of entries last year we are very excited about the 2010 awards.

Sustainabilitylive! 2009 had exceeded our expectations. It had been so well received by exhibitors, visitors and supporting associations alike.

Seeing the success of the show has reinforced what we already knew – that these industry areas are continuing to expand, offering increasing business opportunities. The comments from attendees in 2009 have confirmed that this event really is unrivalled.”
