Recycle your Vehicle for FREE

Recycle Your Vehicle

Got an old vehicle that isn’t really worth much any more? Had enough of your car and want a new one? Well get on the phone to Birmingham City Council to arrange for free removal and disposal of your vehicle!

Every year thousands of reports are made for abandoned vehicles in Birmingham which the council then go on to remove and dispose of, meaning that the material can then be recycled and used for something else.

Abandoned vehicles are extremely common and with so many reports that does mean a lot of material to recycle. Birmingham City Council would like to encourage people to report these abandoned vehicles, but before you do, check the following information:

1.

Has the vehicle got a valid tax disc? Please note, if the vehicle is taxed, it is not technically abandoned and cannot be reported as abandoned

2.

The exact location of the vehicle.

3.

The vehicle make, model and colour

4.

The vehicle registration number

However, the council have emphasised that this scheme is not just for abandoned vehicles, but also for unwanted vehicles. If you decide that you no longer want your vehicle, you can contact Birmingham City Council who will then arrange for the removal and destruction of the vehicle, and the best bit is its all absolutely free.

So, Birmingham City Council has introduced a way for Britain’s motorists to give back to the community, through recycling old vehicles and purchasing new eco – friendly ones!
