RWM Seminars aim to help industry and environment in times of crisis
RWM are preparing for seminars relating to the Exhibition in September which will take place at the NEC, Birmingham. The show is set to advise people on how to cut costs, improve efficiency, stay ahead of the competition and remain sustainable in a difficult economy.
Seminars have been introduced by the company in order to increase the amount of environmental friendliness amongst citizens.
Three of these news seminars include the Business Seminar Theatre Local Authority Seminar Theatre and the Energy and Water Theatre.
The Local Authority Seminar theatre is supported by the Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee and therefore is the seminar that focuses mainly on issues of waste management and recycling. The seminar will be used as an education for people to re visit when coming across concerns about the environment.
It will cover legislation, finance and procurement on Day One including a case study on alternative funding mechanisms by head of waste management at West Sussex County Council. Day Two will look at hazardous waste and Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment featuring policies for managing radioactive waste, presented by Fred Barker, executive director, Nuclear Legacy Advisory Forum. The final day’s sessions will offer delegates practical advice and case studies to help them to improve efficiency, communications and stakeholder engagement.
The Business Seminar Theatre and Energy and Water Seminar Theatre will also cover important environmental issues including as well as other economical issues. The business seminar will focus mainly upon themed days for manufacturing, construction and retail where as the Energy and Water seminar will be an extra session for RWM members who already have responsibility for waste and recycling. Advice on how to reduce waste of energy and water will be outlined and a presentation from Envirowise, will take place concerning these topics. The entire day will be dedicated to energy from waste.
Gerry Sherwood, Event Manager for RWM said: “RWM is designed to bring together the very latest thinking and best practice through live demonstrations and practical case studies. Anyone who produces waste should take advantage of this opportunity to be informed and inspired by registering now to attend RWM in September.”
