Northfield eco-centre

The Northfield eco-centre is set to launch on Friday March 20th.

The eco-centre will provide advice, information and support to homeowners, business and tenants to help cut energy consumption and carbon emissions.

The scheme will work to find practical ways to live whilst protecting the environment and saving members money.

Offering workshops, demonstrations and skills training, the group can “teach every member handy eco-friendly ways to live a more sustainable life” (Facebook).

From organic gardening to keeping warm, the group has excellent advice for all.

Interactive advice is available now on the groups Facebook page, but the official opening marks the beginning of a more eco-friendly neighbourhood in Northfield.

Set up by two part time co-ordinators, Dave and Georgia, the Facebook pages are thriving with information and interaction.

Georgia asks “During this cold weather we all have different coping strategies for keeping warm without having the heating on all the time. What’s your top tip?”

For more information visit the group – or attend the opening held at 53 Church Road, Northfield, B31 2LB.
