National Express switching to hybrid coaches
‘National Express’ in the West Midlands are changing their buses to become hybrid, becoming more energy and fuel efficient.
The new coaches will be introduced early next year, and they will use at least 30% less fuel than the previous coaches.
The West Midlands region has won a staggering £1.3 million government contribution to buy the latest hybrid coaches to reduce carbon emissions. This money will be enough for 20 buses all equip with the latest fuel-efficient engine.
Not only will the coaches use less fuel but it will also reduce the amount of carbon emissions by a third, improving the quality of air in the County.
