Birmingham Recycled’s Top Ten Parks

Birmingham is known for being an industrial city, and it’s many parks and green areas are too often forgotten about.

Here at Birmingham Recycled we’ve compiled the top ten green parks and conservation areas in Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

So next time you’re looking for somewhere to go with the family on a sunny bank holiday, somewhere to walk the dog or somewhere to go and just admire the scenery, look no further.

The green markers indicate those parks which have gained the Green Flag Award. This is the national standard for parks and green spaces in the UK. You can learn more about it here.

Red markers on the map indicate parks that are particularly children-friendly, and hold a lot of events and activities.

If you can think of a park that you believe we’ve missed out of the top ten, don’t hesitate to leave a comment and let us know!

  1. Thanks for sharing with us. It is nice to know there are many nice parks in Birmingham.
I should go to one of them after my exam.

  2. I think it’s a shame that not many people especially those who arent originally from birmingham take advantage of the amazing parks that are located in their areas. As a student I know I neglect opting to head to the park, as oppose to the city centre as I underestimate how wonderful the parks are but now that the weather is improving I think I will make more of a habit of visitng one of the ten offered here.
