Birmingham parks for the week beginning 31st August
After a quiet week in the West Midlands’ parks last week, Birmingham Recycled is back our annual roundup of activities you can get involved in.
There are several choices for you if your eager to get your hands dirty, starting with the Holders Lane Conservation Work Weekend in Cannon Hill Park. On Saturday and Sunday from 11AM you can help the rangers with some practical conservation work like cleaning up litter. Be sure to wear practical clothes and meet at Holders Lane Sports Pavilion.
At The Shire Country Park in Moseley there’s another need for practical volunteers on Saturday with brickwork from 11AM on Foreman Road.
In Balaam’s Wood, Northfield, you can join the River Rea Ramble by joining the rangers for a gentle stroll along the course of the river. This event takes place at 11AM on Saturday, booking is essential and hope for nice weather!
In the Edgbaston Reservoir there’s a Children’s Arts and Crafts Weekend at 11AM to 12PM and 2PM to 3PM. Let your kids have fun and create art, using nature as their inspiration.
And as always, don’t forget Northfield’s Tuesday Walkabout.
