Birmingham parks for the week beginning 20th July

It’s the second week of Birmingham Recycled’s round up of what’s going on our beautiful parks this week.

There seems to be two butterfly activites happening on Sunday – in the Lickey Hills from 11AM it’s another Mini Beast Safari, where kids can discover the smaller residents of the park. The Shire Country Park’s event is called Wildflowers, Butterflies and Hoverflies. From 11AM also you can follow a trail around the resevoir, completing activities and answering questions.

In Sutton Park National Nature Reserve on Saturday from 11AM and 2:30PM there is the chance to hear about the traditions of American Indian crafts and make some of your own jewellery. This event is suitable for adults and older children with booking essential.

Lastly, Woodgate Valley Park has a Summer Holiday Activity Trail on Wednesday from 11AM to 5PM. This trail is available any day of the summer holiday until Thursday 3rd September.  Prizes are given out for the highest quiz scores.

Check back next week for more park updates.
