Edgbaston Resevoir celebrates own Earth Day
Birmingham held a festive Earth Day on the 13th of March for members of the local community at the Edgbaston Reservoir to celebrate the wonders of the Earth.
Residents could visit the landscape to lear about elements such as gravity, oxygen, carbon dioxide and our food chain are provided.
The Chief Ranger from the Ranger Office said:
‘We had a very good turnout today.
Approximately, 100 people turned up to join our celebration and we are very happy that Earth Day was a success.’
Edgbaston Reservoir is a uniquely beautiful location in a very peaceful area and is a site completely dedicated to coservating nature. This area contains a wide variety of animals. Some of the most peculiar ones in this place are newts and bats.
Earth Day is a day which is dedicated to providing answers to the most confusing questions about the nature of our surroundings and re-installing appreciation in the community for all the little things we often take for granted on our planet.
